Care & Maintenance

TABLE MAINTENANCE

Wipe clean with slightly damp cloth. Clean spills promptly, and use trivets/pads under hot dishware. To avoid warping, do not install in a high-humidity setting, and promptly clean up any sitting water. To maintain maximum appearance, condition 3-5 times after installation, and about once a month after that point. Sand down and refinish/recondition every few years to erase any markings.

CUTTING BOARD MAINTENANCE

Wipe clean with slightly damp cloth. Hand wash with hot soapy water, do not put in dishwasher. To maintain maximum appearance, condition 3-5 times after installation, and about once a month after that point. Remove odors by rubbing the board with salt and lemon. Let sit for a couple minutes and wipe clean with a damp cloth. To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water. To avoid warping, do not put in high-humidity setting, or let soak in sink.

COUNTERTOP MAINTENANCE

Wipe clean with slightly damp cloth. Clean spills promptly, and use trivets/pads under hot dishware. To avoid warping, do not install in a high-humidity setting, and promptly clean up any sitting water. To maintain maximum appearance, condition 3-5 times after installation, and about once a month after that point. Sand down and recondition every few years to erase any markings.

FLOORING MAINTENANCE

Hardwood floors will expand and contract with changes in humidity. Keep humidity levels between 40-60% to minimize the chances of warping. Do not expose wood to extreme changes in humidity.

With time, exposure to sunlight and air will lighten the color of the wood. Occasionally condition the floor with conditioner or natural oils. Sand down every 7-10 years until the wear layer (3/4") is gone.
